Lightsquared is Facing Constant bad press and government harassment, WHY?

I am Certainly No Technology Expert but to Me this Quote says.. that Intel and other Chip Makers may also get hit with some Actual Fair Competition.. and so Will those Phone Makers.. Seems to me that Lightsquared is threatening the TURF of many players..

"..Terrestrial-Only issue is an important one for LightSquared, since if it is forced to offer only hybrid phones the cost of devices and chipsets would shoot up dramatically. Many wholesalers will be looking to offer service focused on the major metro markets, which is where LightSquared’s terrestrial service will be located. "

I Say that Lightsquared is Set to Knock out tons of their Competition in several market and that we the consumers WOULD win and the Good Ol' Boy System of Cartel, Monopolies and Games is So Threatened that they are Possibly paying off Government Officials to BLOCK Lightsquared.. sure seems that way to me..
