Jonathan E. Cole J.D.

"Jonathan E. Cole is a Partner at Dykema Gossett PLLC. He joined Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge immediately after his graduation from Harvard Law School in 1971.

Mr. Cole has been deeply involved in the firm's strategy and expansion over the past 30 years, founding the firm's Palm Beach office in 1981 and the Ft. Lauderdale office in 2001 and leading the firm's Private Equity Practice Group for over a decade until 2002. He has 35 years experience with venture capital, leveraged acquisitions, and emerging technology companies, particularly in optical and wireless networks, software, biotech and life sciences, and information technology.

Mr. Cole has experience in venture capital and private equity investments, start-up and early stage business organization, corporate and other business acquisitions and restructurings including leveraged buyouts, shareholder and investor relations, and co-sale arrangements. He is a Director of Crossbow Ventures Inc. Previously, Mr. Cole was the Chairman of the Executive Board at Enterprise Development Corporation of South Florida Inc. He is a Member of National/Southern Association of Small Business Investment Companies.

Mr. Cole is a frequent lecturer at national and international conferences on entrepreneurial venture finance and is regularly involved in the representation of both angel investors and professional venture capital funds in investment and fund formation matters. He holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School, an A.B. from Brown University, and B.A from Brown University.
