"LTE in Clearwire's Future?
Clearwire revised the terms of its deal with Intel that allows the WiMax vendor to switch to LTE if it chooses, according to ZDNet. Bill Morrow, CEO of Clearwire, made the following comment on the company's earnings conference call:
There was an agreement before that was really a commercial deal between Intel and Clearwire that would restrict us from using anything other than WiMAX up to, I think it’s February of 2012. That deal is no longer in effect. It’s kind of this 30-day notice. So it does give us the flexibility that if we wanted to do a commercial launch of LTE or some other technology, that Intel would not be holding us back.
Clearwire has not made any decisions about using LTE, but is consulting with vendors to see what would be the most cost-effective method to make such a change. Clearwire and Sprint hinted back in March that they were open to LTE.
According to Clearwire, the similarities between WiMax and LTE make it relatively simple to transition from one to the other in terms of network costs. However, devices running on WiMax may need to be replaced if Clearwire does make the switch, GigaOM reports."

So is Clearwire working with Intel to STOP Philip Falcone and Lightsquared? How is Clearwire having so much political pull? Why is the Philip Falcone, Lightsquared Media not talking of the GPS testing that was done and instead talking as if to Scare off Investors. What is the Truth?
